Forgot to add that one of my 1st cousins is married to a beautiful woman from Botswana. When she came to Canada and we first met, she showed me all of these WONDERFUL photos of her family back in Botswana. I know that Botswana is not only a great distance from Kenya but also, an entirely different nation with its own history and culture, etc.,etc. Nevertheless, the my cousin's wife's family - immediate and extended family - lived in huts just like the ones in this painting. I LOVE that coincidence!! Hugs

Interestingly, these are also the type of huts most Kenyan Communities lived in. Most parts of the country still have them intact.
