Description
This is another elephant. I love painting these guys. The African Elephant is much more aggressive than its Indian cousin. These creatures are a marvel of creation. Elephant, olifant, Njovu, Njogu, Ndovu, tembo, Nzou, giwa.... Just a few names of the mighty elephant.
I hope these great beasts will roam the African Savannah for many years to come. .

Jumbo is indeed most impressive! I read somewhere that the word "Jumbo" means "Hello" in the original African language. (Sorry, I cannot remember now which one!) And he does indeed look as if he is saying "Hello".
