Wangibu Wanyang'arua or Wamugumo was a seer in the Kikuyu Community of Kenya, and an incredibly strong man, whose height was 8ft or thereabout. He accurately predicted to numerous people how their lives would be. People say most of his forecasts came true. He despised money and was paid in kind whenever he worked for people. He would carry a large bag so he would put whatever he got from his employers into it.
His Name Wamugumo is derived from a huge Mugumo Tree (Fig Tree) that was within his compound. He was huge and the tree was huge, so the name made sense to the residents of that area.
They say if he stack his spear into the ground, it would take several men to pull it out; for him though it was a no-brainer, he would just pull it up again with one arm.
