The tiger is simply beautiful. It is not a flower though… don’t go smiling at a tiger, this is a lethal wild animal. There is never any love lost with a wild tiger! The tiger is the largest living cat species and a member of the genus Panthera. It is most recognisable for its dark vertical stripes on orange fur with a white underside. An apex predator, it primarily preys on ungulates, such as deer and wild boar. In terms of bone strength, lions are stronger. Tigers are 70% muscle but have lower bone density than lions. In terms of muscular strength, tigers are stronger.

There are nine subspecies or types of tigers, three of which are now extinct. The remaining six subspecies include the Bengal, Indo-Chinese, South China, Amur, and Sumatran tigers.

Despite the ancestors of tiger originating from Africa, there are no tigers in Africa anymore.
