Description
The Madagascan fish eagle or Madagascar sea-eagle is a large bird of prey in the family Accipitridae.
This species has a small population which is declining, and it is therefore classified as very Endangered.
This species survives in along the west coast of Madagascar. The species is found predominantly in wooded areas adjacent to water bodies.
The Madagascan Fish eagle feeds mainly on fish, which it spots from a perch, taking them from the surface of water in a shallow dive. These eagles also take crabs, young marine turtles, and occasionally birds, and they pirate prey from other bird species. Large fish are carried to a perch or to land to be eaten.

You've done it! TWO Madagascar Fish Eagles, beautiful, fierce, a vision to take me far away. I hope people will regard this latest painting well, and Google these extraordinary birds. Among the rarest of the world's Eagles, and you've given them well deserved attention. Bravo, Anthony!
