The booted eagle is a medium-sized mostly migratory bird of prey. It is found in a wide range of habitats from woodland and plantations to grassland and desert areas with suitable habitat as well as agricultural farmlands.
It occurs in two main color forms (pale and dark) that are almost identical above but differ in the shading of the underparts. The one shown here is the DARK MORPH.
