READER'S DIGEST CONDENSED BOOKS VOL 4, 1959 “WEST WIND TO HAWAII”
This story seems to have been written long before I was born. I read it in 1987 and was so happy about it for some reason. I really loved the pen etching illustrations of boats in Hawaii and the title "West Wind to Hawaii". I just felt and believed in my heart I needed to go to Hawaii one day.
Over time I forgot about it and got busy with life. Strangely, later in Life after discussing that one time wish with family, they also felt it was something they would want to do with me.
Without overthinking about the costs and sheer distance from Kenya we got into a Plane in December 2023. It was the most superb week in OAHU Island of Hawaii. I have no words to explain the feeling I got from this adventure. I guess a series of paintings over time will do that for me, Today, One year later, I did the first one and happily named it WEST WIND TO HAWAII. My fingers felt "happy" typing that title.
A colorful sailing boat navigates through a lively sea under a vibrant sky, showcasing a magnificent sunset. The waves crash against the boat, while distant islands and warm hues of the sky create a serene backdrop. That is BEAUTIFUL HAWAII for you.
