Description
It is hard to forget how we were brought up. Our mothers were tough farmers.
They toiled and tilled the land so that we may live better one day. We imagined a better life than theirs.
They fed us from the farm produce. We thought they were backwards.
We are now leaving in cities and feeding on alien food like Pizza and the like.
We are dying early due to lifestyle diseases.
Ooh, poor loving mother, the way we miss the simple food you used to cook for us when we were young? Where did the greens and the cereals and the arrow-roots go?
Today we have some more money than you had. We can now afford disease.
Great mothers these were. We will never get their kind again.
This is one of my older drawings. (1992)

Wonderful artwork Anthony! You have a fantastic gallery! I strongly agree with Audrey Van Tassell comment. L/F

So true and very well illustrated. The young still think the technological advances is the way to go, but as we age, we yearn for the so-called 'simpler' life-without the rat race and hustle and bustle of city life. It was a hard life-but healthier, we knew what our priorities were, and the family unit was stronger. Well done Anthony.
