The Brown Snake Eagle feeds mainly on snakes. This Eagle is capable of killing even very poisonous snakes and big ones like cobras. The legs are thick skinned to protect the eagle from snake bites.
The Brown Snake Eagle prefers to take over abandoned nests rather than build one. It also likes repairing destroyed ones making them a new home. In some case, it has to build from scratch if no abandoned houses are available.
These Eagles (Snake eagles) lay only one egg per year which is incubated by the female.
Strange fellow this one. I would prefer to call him a marvel of creation.
