Description
Someone clever once said that a change is as good as a rest. We are always busy in the cities these days. Running up and down doing this or the other. Competing with each other. Who has the latest car, phone or latest dressing style.
We do it so effectively we forget we need a break. Leave. Get away from the Hustle and bustle of the city. Go visit some rural home. All of us came from some rural place, or at least our parents did. If you don't have a rural home, then at least visit with some friends.
Rapid urbanization has resulted in increased urban air pollution in major cities. Get out of the city for a while. You might not believe me now until you leave.
When you get there, sit down on an old stool and get the feel of it. Breathe in the fresh air. Smell the chicken and the goats. Feel the dust under your feet. Feel the wind behind your ears (If you like, on the face works too). Milk a cow while you are at it. Get to see stars at night since they are almost always hidden in big cities at night (Not that we could see them in the day). Take it easy. Add a few years to your life.

I was very fortunate to spend a year in Zimbabwe back in the early 1980s and fell I love with Africa. Your paintings are so full of life and bring back many wonderful memories of one of the greatest highlights of my life.

Beautiful work. She is lost in thought and the animals are protective around her.

These enchanting works really do convey the sense of a peaceful world, Anthony.
Anthony Mwangi replied:
I agree Joel. It is good to find peace in this violent world. Sometimes you find it within yourself and other times without (yourself)

Beautiful scene that conveys a message close to my heart, and your description is full of wisdom! The best thing I ever did was leave the city, move to the country and enjoy nature!

Anthony,This is such a touching and emotional scene. While reading the description I was practically remembering the summer/winter vacation which I used to spend with my grandparents in the village and used to enjoy doing every bit of it.Those memories are still so very fresh.Your work is really like a fresh air which is definitely needed in this fast pace world.I sincerely want to thank you for sharing this remarkable work.Simply Amazing!!! Hi Deepa. thanks for connecting with my message. It might seem like a joke, but some ailments do not need a doctor to heal. Just good old nature. Back to the roots
